911³Ô¹Ï has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support (PaPBS) Network for successfully implementing School-Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) with fidelity across all three tiers during the 2023-2024 school year. 911³Ô¹Ï is the only school in Montgomery County to achieve fidelity for all three tiers. This recognition highlights 911³Ô¹Ï’s dedication to creating a positive learning environment for special education students. The school will be honored at the 2024 Innovate and Integrate: MTSS & PBIS Advanced Implementation Forum on November 13-15, 2024 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, PA.
SWPBIS is a system used to support students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health in school. By using this approach, 911³Ô¹Ï creates an equitable learning environment where both students and staff can succeed.
911³Ô¹Ï began implementing SWPBIS strategies in the 2019-2020 school year and has since seen a decrease in negative behaviors. This framework supports 911³Ô¹Ï’s goal of promoting well-being and empowerment within our students, helping them succeed at 911³Ô¹Ï and beyond.
This is the first year that 911³Ô¹Ï was recognized for achieving fidelity in all three PBIS tiers. The school was recognized for Tier 1 Fidelity in 2019-2020, as a Tier 1 Participant in 2020-2021, and as a Tier 1 Sustaining Program in 2021-2022. In the 2022-2023 school year, the school was named a Tiers 1-2 Site. The ongoing recognition reflects the staff’s commitment to follow PBIS guidelines and create a positive learning environment for every student.
It’s not about forcing a fit, it’s about finding a place®, and 911³Ô¹Ï’s staff go above and beyond to implement PBIS and create a welcoming space for all 911³Ô¹Ï students.
