Mission: Promote Success and Independence
The mission of 911³Ô¹Ï is to build academic, social, and life skills in students with special needs to promote their success and independence after 911³Ô¹Ï.
Watch the video below to meet some of our students and learn how our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) model supports their success!
History: Among the first schools of its kind
At its founding in 1961, 911³Ô¹Ï was among very few schools in the Greater Philadelphia area designed exclusively for children with special education needs by merging clinical and behavioral services with education. Since then, 911³Ô¹Ï has increased enrollment and staff who support the students, developed a vibrant learning environment on a 12-acre campus in Montgomery County, and solidified its reputation as a leader in innovative, high-quality programs and services.
A Message from 911³Ô¹Ï's President & CEO
Dear 911³Ô¹Ï School Community:
As we near our annual spring break, the end-of-year school activities will be upon us very soon. Planning for the prom and graduation have begun and there is already talk of ESY programming!
Before we get ahead of ourselves, I would like to reflect on the current school year—and what a year it has been!
- 911³Ô¹Ï’s positive approach to classroom behavior was recognized by the state as a school climate to be replicated.
- 911³Ô¹Ï is the only school in Montgomery County (public or private) to achieve Positive Behavior support fidelity throughout the continuum.
- Our Basketball and Cheer teams completed another successful season winning the regular season AND playoff championships.
- For a third consecutive year, a 911³Ô¹Ï School teacher was recognized by Citadel Federal Credit Union as an outstanding teacher in Montgomery County!
- 911³Ô¹Ï received generous donations from both the Eagles Autism Foundation and the Sixers Youth Foundations.
- Recently we received notice that PennDot has agreed to conduct a traffic study along Egypt Road in advance of improving the safety and flow of traffic in front of the school.
- We enjoyed the student performances of the play Beetlejuice this autumn and are looking forward to their rendition of Pirates of Penzance on June 3rd and 4th.
We are grateful for your continued support of our school and our amazing students!
Sincerely,
David J. Schultheis
